We’ll take you to Ye Olde Pacati if you agree that you don’t understand.
What You Don’t Understand
When Pacati started in Colorado on December 19th, 1991, it was interesting to make and interesting to listen to because digital audio can do things sonically that are somewhere between difficult and impossible in analog audio. These things had never been heard before by anyone but veteran audio engineers in 1991, and most of these experts clung to analog and didn’t explore what was possible digitally. Consequently, Pacati became quite popular with those (on drugs) most open-minded to the radical new approach to sonic entertainment.
Pacati 1 is a bad album. It is here because it was there. Pacati 3 was most people’s favorite, followed by Pacati 2.
If you weren’t there and are looking to explore Ye Olde Pacati, it is recommended that you equip yourself with the following:
- Some sort of THC vaporizing device
- Some sort of THC material
- Some sort of beverage
- Some sort of chair
- Some sort of sound system (surround preferred)
If two or more items from that list are unattainable, you’re gonna have a bad time. Since cars usually have built-in surround, it was traditionally listened to there – while parked.
Once you have procured all elements, play Pacati 3 from the track “Deep Fried Hair” on through the end of that album, slightly louder than you think is a good idea. If you survive, you may enjoy the rest of Ye Olde.
